In Italy Marmorino is a tradition, part of their heritage. Marmorino is one of the Venetian plasters which is currently gaining popularity.

Marmorino is a 100% pure lime based plaster, plus Carrere rounded marble sand.

Marmorino is skillfully applied with a trowel in order to achieve tone variations within the same colour, randomly on the wall. Marmorino is applied in thicker coats and is typically finished to give a texture like stone, which can even be struck in imitation of ashlar stone. Sand sponging Marmorino is a must to get all the colour variation.

It is made from crushed marble and lime putty, which can be tinted to give a wide range of colours. This can then be applied to make many textures, from polished marble to natural stone effects.

Widely used in Italy, it’s appeal has spread through North America especially, but now worldwide

Basically, then, when Marmorino Stucco is applied to a wall, what is left is a seamless stone surface with all the properties and characteristics of real marble.
